Hello, my name is Vanita Jamison, and I recently joined the Prevention Council in January 2022, after successfully completing a 22 year career with the federal government. I have a Master’s Degree in Counseling Education from Niagara University, and an Undergraduate Degree in Management from Central State University, Wilberforce, Ohio.
My favorite aspect of working with the council is the love for “being a resource for others.” Professional and personal resources allow me the opportunity to share information with parents, professionals, and the community to enhance their knowledge about alcohol and substance abuse.
One fun fact about me, I love live music events (Modern Jazz and R&B).
“Fight for the things that you care about, but do it in a way that will lead others to join you.”
