Make Prom

A Night

To Remember.

Celebrate Sober.

Check out these “Talk. They Hear You.”® campaign resources to help you start—and keep up—the conversation about the dangers of drinking alcohol and using other drugs at a young age.

Being a parent isn’t easy. You want your child to have a wide range of experiences and grow into a successful, independent adult. At the same time, you want to protect them from the many dangerous substances and situations out there in the world.

Choose the topic you’re interested in, and let’s get the conversation started.

Underage drinking is a significant public health problem in the U.S. Excessive drinking is responsible for more than 3,900 deaths and 225,000 years of potential life lost among people under age 21 each year. Underage drinking cost the U.S. $24 billion in 2010.

Whatever your plans, wherever your destination, we at NHTSA want you to have a fun – and safe – prom night.
